OK Mills for Votorantim Cimentos

World Cement,

FLSmidth has been awarded a contract worth approximately US$32 million (DKK 180 million) from  Votorantim Cimentos, Ltda. to supply six OK mills for cement grinding. The mills are to be installed with the new kiln lines also purchased from FLSmidth, as announced in July 2010.

The contract includes supply of the main equipment, process engineering and site advisory and commissioning services for four OK 33-4 mills and two OK 36-4 mills. The contract also includes an option for purchase of a seventh OK mill. Included with the mills will be gear reducers supplied by FLSmidth MAAG Gear. The new contract raises the total number of FLSmidth OK mills sold in Brazil to 13.

The design of the OK mill, which is known for its exceptional efficiency and reliable performance, ideally matches Votorantim's ongoing expansion of production capacity and its commitment to reducing overall energy footprint.
