Votorantim Cimentos has announced that Marcelo Castelli will be the company’s new global CEO. This comes after the resignation of Walter Dissinger after five years in the post.
Dissinger’s leadership of the company was marked by client-focused management, innovation, and a digital transformation. He also played a decisive role in the creation of the construction materials industry’s first loyalty platform, Juntos Somos Mais.
Marcelo Castelli has been announced as Dissinger’s successor. Castelli is an executive with a career of over 31 years. In 1997, he began working at Votorantim Celulose e Papel (VCP), and has since held several executive positions. Castelli coordinated the merger of Aracruz and VCP, which created Fibria. At this company, Castelli was the executive officer for areas including forestry, paper, strategy, and supply. He has been the company’s CEO since July 2011.
Castelli will take on the role of global CEO on 1 February 2019 and Dissinger will collaborate in the process to integrate his successor during the first months of the year.
