Cement sales down in Argentina in November 2014
According to Argentina’s Portland cement association, AFCP, its member companies dispatched around 1.01 million t of cement (including exports) in November 2014. This is 9.3% lower than the volumes dispatched in October 2014.
In terms of domestic cement consumption (including imports), the cement companies dispatched 997 440 t of cement, down 9.4% m/m and 4.7% y/y.
Meanwhile, the INDEC has revealed that Argentina’s construction sector experienced 4.9% growth in October 2014 when compared to October 2013, and 3.8% growth compared to September 2014.
