Martin Engineering supports fundraising event in Mexico
Bulk material handling specialist Martin Engineering co-sponsored the 4th annual fundraiser for children at the Casa Hogar de Cabo San Lucas. The orphanage in Baja California Sur, Mexico, is home to 41 boys between 3 and 17 years old. Founded in 2008, the facility is non-profit, privately funded by donations and special projects. The fundraising event was attended by more than 200 people and Martin Engineering and its shareholders helped to raise over US$500 000. The funds will help Casa Hogar with its plans to establish a similar facility for girls and with initiatives such as its ‘Post-18’ programme, which helps residents with their future development.
Martin Engineering has been an employer and supplier of bulk material handling technology for more than 25 years in Mexico.
“We help support all of the regions where we do business,” commented Martin Engineering Global Business Development Director Alvaro Chacon Prieto. “Our corporate philosophy has always emphasised community service and civic responsibility, right from the company’s founding in the 1940s.”
