World Cement,
Cemex has donated to employee and community relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey.
Cemex has a strong operational and commercial presence in the Greater Houston area, where it is also headquartered. A rapid response effort to provide aid to affected employees and their families has been launched. All Cemex employees are, fortunately, safe. Cemex has also established a fund to receive voluntary donations from its personnel worldwide to help affected colleagues. Total funds contributed will be matched by the company.
“Our top priority is the safety of our employees. We will continue to assist our colleagues and their families affected by this devastating storm,” said Fernando A. Gonzalez, CEO of CEMEX. “Our thoughts are with the people in Texas. We trust their resilience and solidarity will help them overcome this tragedy.”
