Cemento Andino’s production output meets 2014 target

World Cement,

José Artigas, of Venezuela’s Cemento Andino, has confirmed that the company is operating at 86% of its production capacity, thereby meeting its target for 2014.

The statement comes in response to reports in the regional press that have suggested that the Venezuelan cement manufacturer was operating below its required production level.

So far this year, Cemento Andino has produced 26 000 t more than in the corresponding period in 2013. Artigas went on to add that a scheduled maintenance stop in November would not affect the plant’s output.
