ACG Materials, a producer and processor of aggregates, including gypsum, limestone, sand and gravel, has acquired North Florida Rock (NFR). NFR supplies limestone in northern Florida, Alabama, and Georgia from a quarry in Marianna, Florida.
The acquisition will enable ACG Materials, which is owned by private equity company, H.I.G. Capital, to expand its business into the southeastern US from its core markets of Oklahoma, Texas, and the Pacific Northwest, said ACG Materials CEO, Paul Harrington.
NFR also “significantly expands our customer business and portfolio of limestone products within our expertise of mineral procession,” Harrington continued.
NFR is ACG Material’s sixth acquisition since H.I.G. bought the company at the end of 2012. The company is based in Norman, Oklahoma, and operates out of 21 locations in the US, as well as in British Columbia in Canada.
