Cemex restores natural habitat through drone technology

Cemex, in collaboration with Projekt O2, piloted a project to reintroduce native plants in the St. Juraj - St. Kajo quarry in Croatia, using drones to distribute and retain seeds in hard-to-reach areas.

 

Prometheus Materials awarded role in US$10 million Department of Energy grant for carbon dioxide removal in cement and concrete

The US Department of Energy (DOE) is providing US$10 million in funding to their US Department of Energy (NREL), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) to collaborate with Prometheus Materials – and a distinguished team of partner institutions – to establish methods for measuring, reporting and verifying CO2 removal and sequestration in cement and concrete.
