The Ferzikovo Project – Part 3

Tebodin started working on the project for Lafarge in 2010. About 50 employees from its Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Ekaterinburg, Kiev and Lviv offices were involved in the project, covering a range of services: adaptation of the detailed design developed by the process supplier to bring it into accordance with Russian design code; the elaboration of the basic permitting design of the plant to pass Federal State Expertise and obtain a positive conclusion; the elaboration of the detailed design for the social buildings and for the concrete part of the long belt conveyor.

Tebodin acted as a general designer, coordinating all design work created by different parties, including consultants and engineers. During the construction phase, Tebodin rendered an author supervision service, ensuring that ongoing construction was inline with design and proposing design optimisations when deviations occurred.

Tebodin’s project manager, Mr. Artem Berenda, said: “With our broad and specific experience from other developed and realised cement plants in the Ukraine and Russia, we offered a valuable contribution to the Ferzikovo plant. Our specific experience from previous cement plant projects includes, for example, the reconstruction of slurry preparation and dispatch facilities (loading time 270 tph), a new coal mill with natural gas replaced by coal for clinker burning, the design of a new greenfield dry method plant with a capacity of 5000 tpd, raw and fine storage silos and a transportation system (capacity 80 tph). The knowledge and skills of our engineers, proven solutions, and adaptation of equipment suppliers information allows us to execute the most effective design and engineering solutions for our clients.”

Conclusion

Tebodin’s project execution for LafargeHolcim is building a long-term relationship on an international level. The experience gained by Tebodin in the realisation of these cement production projects will open new perspectives for the execution of similar projects in the future. “The experience gained from the Ferzikovo plant is very important to us. We already incorporated specific techniques into new industrial projects, and not only cement production facilties,” outlined Mr. Maxim Demidov, Project Manager at Tebodin.
