Flexco introduces new cleaner to belt cleaning product range

Flexco has introduced the FMS Medium-Duty Secondary Cleaner to its complete line of belt cleaning products. The simple, yet durable, design of the cleaner provides quality cleaning performance at an affordable price.
Made with heavy-duty steel with a corrosion-resistant powder coating, the FMS is ideal for use on mining conveyors with belt speeds up to 1000 fpm (5 m/s). It can be used for belt widths ranging from 18 in. to 72 in. (450 mm to 1800 mm), with additional sizes available upon request.
The thin hard edges of the 6 in. (150 mm) wide metal blades deliver high cleaning efficiency and long wear life, while the spring tensioner ensures that there is consistent blade-to-belt interaction and constant pressure on the belt.
Impact-resistant C-Tip tungsten carbide blades are available for use with Flexco mechanical splices.
“The spring cushion allows the C-tips to move away from a passing splice without damage and with minimal cleaning disruption,” said Ryan Grevenstuk, senior product manager for Flexco. “V-tips, for use with vulcanised belts, are also available on the FMS.”
When combined with the MSP Standard Mine-Duty Precleaner and or the MMP Medium Mine-Duty Precleaner, the system provides optimal cleaning for tough applications.
