AKD-N series from KOLLMORGEN now up to 12 A

World Cement,
KOLLMORGEN has expanded its fields of application for the distributed servo technology with a significant increase in performance. The three-phase AKD-N series now delivers currents up to 12 A – equivalent to a doubling of output to 4.8 kW. The AKD-C central rectifier units are also bringing more power. With 20 kW the compact devices are now also providing double the previous maximum continuous output of 10kW. The short-term peak output for both devices is at just short of three times the nominal current.
With its distributed servo technology in protection class IP67, AKD-N enables KOLLMORGEN to incorporate drive functions on-site in a machine. This results in smaller switch cabinets, better options for modularisation, drastically reduced cabling outlay, and greater flexibility in construction. The AKD-N servo system from KOLLMORGEN therefore also supports fast and cost-efficient installation using single-cable connection technology and options to use the devices in conjunction with Ethercat for collecting I/O signals.
