World Cement,
A new Lightyear Waterproof Safety Boot has just been launched by PK Safety, the Personal Protective Equipment specialist based in Abercynon, South Wales.
The model BX-700 Voyager Boot provides total water protection and is ideal for environments where a worker may be exposed to excessively wet and muddy environments such as in industries including recycling, waste, utilities and those where workers spend a great deal of time outdoors.
As with all Lightyear Safety Footwear, the Voyager Safety Boot has a non-metallic composite toe cap and midsole. This makes the Safety Boot ultra-light and more comfortable than Safety Boots with steel toecaps. There is a 100% waterproof membrane to resist any moisture ingress. The sole is made of slip resistant PU double density material rated to SRC with an anti-slip sole pattern, which means it has been tested with soap on a ceramic tile and glycerol on a steel surface. The overall safety rating of the Voyager Safety Boot is EN20345 S3 WR SRC.
For comfort, the Voyager Safety Boot is constructed out of smooth leather with mesh inlays and a padded tongue and collar. A scuff cap protector provides added durability. The heel of the Safety Boot has a hard wearing rubber support system with a shock absorbent comfort footbed. There is a very wide size range of 3 to 13 to accommodate all feet sizes and both men and women.
The new Voyager Safety Boot expands the range of Lightyear Safety Footwear supplied by PK Safety and compliments the range of Personal Protective Equipment that includes Safety Gloves, Safety Glasses and Head and Face Protection.
