Sandvik announces the introduction of a new service offering

Sandvik has announced that it is introducing a new service offering to meet growing industry requirements for expertise in the areas of stainless tell, special alloys and industrial heating.

The extended offering brings together Sandvik’s global expertise and resources within the areas of advanced materials and eating technology, in order to help customers make their processes more reliable and efficient. The new services include support in equipment design, life-cycle assessments, failure analysis and customised testing, amongst other things. The service offering is underpinned by Sandvik’s unique capabilities and long history as a leading developer and producer of advanced stainless steel, furnace products and heating systems.

“This means we expand our support to cover the entire value chain, and also contribute to reduce complexity, safety and environmental hazards in industrial operations. The main goal is to boost productivity by increasing process efficiency and minimise downtime due to equipment failure and maintenance”, said Petra Einarsson, Head of the Sandvik Materials Technology business area.
