Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises has appointed Kenneth Siegel to its Board of Directors. The appointment is effective immediately, bringing the board to eight members. It is expected Siegel will join to one of more committees in due course.
“Ken is an excellent addition to the B&W Board of Directors, bringing more than two decades of domestic and international experience with a number of leading companies, and strong business and legal acumen,” said Matthew E. Avril, Chairman of the Board.
Siegel has served as President of Diamond Resorts International Inc. since March 2017 and is also a member of its Board of Directors. Before this, he held a senor position at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Cognizant Corp., a multinational information services company.
The company recently announced a second quarter net loss of US$265.8 million. It is in the process of a number of strategic divestitures to raise US$190 million, including the MEGTEC and Universal businesses to Dürr AG.
