Preventing cement powder buildup in pre-packing hoppers

Cement powder holding up on the side walls, especially where the vertical wall meets the sloping hopper section within cement pre-packing hoppers can both slow down packing rates and cause product cross-contamination.

Installing an acoustic cleaner on top of the hopper and sounding it for a few seconds at periodic intervals during sack filling can easily eliminate both these problems. The Primasonics unit is virtually maintenance free and prevents cement powder buildup, thus ensuring that maximum product discharge is achieved in addition to total hopper evacuation.

An acoustic cleaner located in the hopper section of the packing plant filter not only prevents hopper pluggage and helps maintain low pressure differential, but it can also significantly increase the life of the filter bags.
