World Cement,
UK-based engineering company, Greenbank Group, is aiming to take advantage of growing opportunities in India with the opening of a new office in Kolkata.
Greenbank supplies engineering solutions to the power and heavy industry sector, including the cement sector. Its products include the VARB pulverised fuel diffuser and G-CAM carbon-in-ash analysers.
“Whilst coal-fired power generation and related industries are experiencing operational decline in the UK, other parts of the world are still heavily reliant on coal,” said Charles Conroy, Greenbank’s Managing Director.
The company’s recent activity in India has included working with major engineering contractors from the region to employ the company’s pulverised fuel distribution and measurement and control systems for large industrial coal boilers.
“Opening up our Indian office takes the company an exciting step closer to the market and gives us improved flexibility and options in trading into India," added Conroy.
The Indian offices will be led by local partners, Subir Roy and Sandeep Nigam, who run their trading partner business, ABSR Engineers and Services, of which Greenbank in a member. In addition to the VARB and G-CAM products, Greenbank also manufactures volumetric and gravimetric fuel feeder and weighing systems, PFMS relative particle mass and velocity flow measurement tools, CoalFlo damper valves and boiler tube steam leak detection systems.
