TITAN Group has been recognised as one of the world's most sustainable companies in 2024 by global magazine TIME. This accolade places TITAN among only three cement companies globally to be included in this list, underscoring the company’s enduring commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship in line with its purpose of “making the world around us a safe, sustainable and enjoyable place to live”.
The TIME ranking is a testament to TITAN’s ongoing efforts to integrate sustainable practices into its operations, align with global sustainability standards and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders with transparency. Key factors contributing to TITAN’s ranking include its 1.5°C science-based targets, top A score from CDP, and continuous progress towards both its CO2 reduction targets and its ESG goals for 2025 and beyond. TITAN's adherence to the UN Global Compact and participation in the UNFCCC Race to Zero also played significant roles, as did TITAN's strong commitment to sustainability and long-term value creation for customers, local communities, employees, and other stakeholders across all its regions.
TIME and data firm Statista have developed a rigorous methodology to measure the world’s most sustainable companies for 2024. Their sustainability evaluation assessed companies based on external ESG ratings, commitments, and various environmental and social Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) published in the companies’ externally assured and compliant reports with international reporting standards such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD. These KPIs include emission intensity, emission reduction rates, energy intensity, the proportion of renewable energy used, gender diversity on boards and in leadership, gender pay gap, work safety, and employee turnover rate.
