Pakistan’s cement dispatches continue positive run

Pakistan’s cement dispatches continued their positive run in May and June, reporting year-on-year increases of 5.66% and 9.25%, respectively.

According to data from the industry trade association, All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, annual dispatches to the local market to June were 23.65 million t, a 15.31% increase on the same period in 2017.

Assuming a similar rate of increase through the year, the country is on track to dispatch around 49.30 million t of cement to the local market this year.

Exports also grew, hitting 0.44 million t in May, 41.88% up on the previous year, and 0.40 million t in June, 15.33% up on 2017.
