LafargeHolcim completes consolidation of Bangladeshi businesses

LafargeHolcim has completed the consolidation of its Bangladeshi businesses with Holcim Cement (Bangladesh) Ltd becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh.
Formerly Lafarge Surma Cement, Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh was originally formed as a joint venture between Lafarge and Cementos Mollins, which Holcim Cement (Bangladesh) was a subsidiary of Holcim.
Both became part of LafargeHolcim, following the merger of Lafarge and Holcim in 2015.
Cementos Mollins remains a shareholder in the company.
Following the consolidation, Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh will have installed capacity of 4.2 million tpy of cement production, including the only clinker production facility in the south Asian country.
