Udaipur Cement reopens cement plant

Udaipur Cement Works has completed a revival and rehabilitation project at its cement plant in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
The company confirmed the completion of the project in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange, adding that cement production has now restarted. Udaipur also said that shipments of clinker and cement from the Sripatinager integrated cement plant had also begun.
The company reported a net profit of INR6.94 million in Q416, after slipping to an INR10.12 million loss in the previous quarter. Revenue was up to INR232.66 million in 4Q16, compared to INR170.11 million in 3Q16 and INR221.99 million in 4Q15.
The Sripatinager plant has a clinker production capacity of 1.237 million tpy and a cement production capacity of 1.7 million tpy.
