Pikalevsky Cement records 6.2% increase in 1H14 cement output

Pikalevsky Cement, part of the Eurocement Group, produced 822 700 t of high quality and environmentally friendly cement in the first half of 2014 (ended 30 June), a 6.2% (47 862 t) increase compared to the same period last year.
Shipments of cement to consumers in January – June 2014 amounted to 812 060 t, representing a 3% (23 333 t) increase compared to the first six months of 2013. During the same period, shipments of bagged cement totalled 35 900 t, 3.1% (1074 t) higher than in January – June 2013. Pikalevsky Cement produces cement type CEM II/A 32.5 B in three-layer 50 kg paper bags, which are shipped in railway cars or customer vehicles.
Furthermore, the manufacturer produced 537 500 t of limestone in the first six months of 2014. This figure represents a 25.7% increase compared to the volume recorded in the same period last year.
