Hanson launches new online training for merchants

Hanson UK has launched a free online training portal to help merchants and their staff improve their knowledge of cement and in turn improve the service they offer to their customers.

The Hanson Merchant Academy aims to provide an understanding of the company’s core cement product range to ensure merchant teams sell the right product for the job.

Andy Simpson, packed products national commercial director, explains: “The new training portal is easy to use and allows merchants to track the performance of their learners. It has been developed to help our customers provide a better, more knowledgeable service to their customers.”

The cement module, for example, includes background information about what cement is, how it is manufactured and what it can be used for. It then takes a look at Hanson’s core range of products and highlights the key benefits and uses before a short test completes the training. Each module will take around 10 minutes to complete.

“Feedback to date has been extremely positive,” added Andy. “It is another example of our commitment to customer service and will ultimately help merchants drive sales and profit by ensuring they have the right product for the right customer at the right time.”
