Construction Youth Trust staff held a practical taster session, welcoming prospective students from all over London to find out more about how the trust can support them into the construction industry.
18 young people from all over London arrived at the Construction Youth Trust Training Centre to participate in a practical construction taster session with Construction Youth Trust. They learned useful tiling skills and were given an introduction to Health and Safety procedures on a construction site.
Following the practical activity fifteen recruits signed up for the next course, covering Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment alongside practical multi-trade skills. Following the course students are given the opportunity to enter for a CSCS card test.
The Construction Youth Trust supports young people into gaining access to the construction industry by delivering a range of courses that enable young people currently not in employment, training or education to gain skills and knowledge thorough construction relevant qualifications.
