Russia’s Maltsovsky Portlandcement, also part of the Eurocement Group, produced 3.6 million t of cement in 2013, 17% higher than the volume produced in 2012. Located in the Bryansk region, Maltsovsky Portlandcement is the largest cement plant in the Central Federal District. President of Eurocement Group, Mikhail Skorokhod, recently met with the Governor of the Bryansk region, Nikolai Denin, to discuss the plant’s development.

“The region is interested in further development of the company in order to ensure that industrial, housing and infrastructure construction projects have high-quality cement,” said Denin at the meeting.

“Eurocement group constantly upgrades its plants to improve product quality, reduce energy consumption and protect the environment. Since 2010 the company has received more than 400 million rubles in investments. In particular, it installed new bag filters and precipitators on rotary kilns, allowing plant emissions to meet the most stringent European standards,” added Skorokhod.
