New Head of Sustainability for Aggregate Industries

Shelley Frost has joined Aggregate Industries as Head of Sustainability. Frost’s previous experience includes serving as Lafarge’s Regional Director of Environment and Public Affairs in Northern and Central Europe.

In her new role at Aggregate Industries, she will oversee the company’s strategic direction and compliance, focusing on sustainability and environmental management, as well as sustainable construction and commercial solutions. Frost will also advise and support the company as it strives for continuous improvement in areas such as energy, carbon management, environmental regulations and sustainable practices and solutions.

Between 2008 and 2011, Aggregate Industries reduced the total amount of packaging used from 16 181 t to 11 780. It has also lowered its gas usage, recording a usage of 195 545 MWh in 2012 compared to 224 421 MWh in 2009.
