Cement news highlights: 22 – 26 September
October 2014 issue
World Cement’s October issue is now available online. This includes a regional report on India and South Asia, including a cement factsheet and an overview of investment and infrastructure in the Indian subcontinent by Paul Maxwell-Cook. The issue also features tours of the Steetley Dolomite Whitwell Plant, UK, and the Indocement Citeureup site in Indonesia. - The Holcim Foundation has recognised 13 projects in the US and Canada for innovation in sustainable construction at this year’s award ceremony in Toronto.
- Cement Sustainability Initiative presents Biodiversity Management Plan Guidance.
- The European Parliament has upheld plans to grant carbon allowances to industries at risk of carbon leakage.
