Sandvik CFO to step down

World Cement,
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sandvik, Mats Backman has decided to leave the company, having worked at Sandvik since 2007. He will be assuming the equivalent position as CFO for the automotive safety supplier Autoliv, a position he will assume no later than 1 June 2016. The process to find a successor for Mr. Backman has already begun.
“I’m grateful for Mats Backman’s contributions and the role that he has played as a key member in the Group Executive Management. At the same time I’m pleased that Mats will ensure a successful transition to his successor. I wish Mats all the best in his new position,” says Björn Rosengren, Sandvik’s President and CEO.
