Sberbank gets LafargeHolcim stake

According to a report by Reuters, Russia's biggest lender Sberbank has announced that it has acquired a 6.12% stake in Swiss-French cement giant LafargeHolcim from its Russian shareholder Eurocement Holding AG through a repo deal.
Sberbank CIB, an investment banking arm of Sberbank, announced that on 21 January it organised financing for Eurocement Holding AG as part of a repo deal worth 37 172 910 shares in LafargeHolcim Ltd.
Eurocement confirmed the deal but did not elaborate. LafargeHolcim have also made no comment.
