Italy’s IMER Group is to supply equipment for the production of high-quality concrete and reinforced concrete products to Eurocement Group, which is establishing a building materials production hub around its Ahangarancement plant in Uzbekistan.
The signing of the agreement between Ahangarancement and NIHOL IMPEKS, a subsidiary of IMER Group in Uzbekistan, is part of a US$200 million investment in the building material hub. The launch of concrete production is schedule for 2019.
In addition to concrete production, Ahangarancement is boosting its cement production through the construction of a new 3 million tpy production line. Production of refractory bricks for the cement and metallurgical industries has already begun onsite, while production facilities for mineral wool products will also be developed.
