Business and appointments news: Vecoplan, Venture Measurement and Vortex

Vecoplan

Uwe Eschenhorst has been named as Vice Presdient of the Cement Business Unit at Vecoplan LLC. In his new position, Eschenhorst will be responsible for sales in the North American cement industry. He will also supervise all strategic aspects of large projects in this sector.

Eschenhorst joined Vecoplan in 2012 as Vice President of its Alternative Fuels and Energy Competency Center. Prior to that, he was the Environmental Services Manager at Polysius Corp. USA, working with the cement and minerals industries. While at Polysius, he directed the design, engineering, construction and implementation of large systems and entire plants that incorporated the use of alternative fuels as an integral component of the cement production process.

Eschenhorst earned a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering/Fluid, Fuel and Heat Engineering, an MSc in Mechatronics, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering/Process Engineering. “Uwe’s impressive credentials and vast experience in this sector make him the perfect choice to head-up our Cement Business Unit here at Vecoplan,” said Len Beusse, COO at Vecoplan.

Venture Measurement

Venture Measurement, manufacturer of the Bindicator, Kistler-Morse and Niagara Meters brands, has announced the appointment of Ben Gambrel as Vice President and General Manager. Gambrel joined Venture’s parent company, Danaher Corporation, in 2007 and was most recently responsible for Global Product Marketing and Business Development for one of its divisions. Prior to joining Danaher, Gambrel’s experience resided in manufacturing and operations management. Gambrel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Stanford University in California.

Vortex

Vortex has appointed Fenix Systems as the company’s exclusive representative in Poland. Fenix supplies machine baggers, weighers, metal detectors, palletisers and packers for the food industry. Fenix represents some of the world’s top bulk handling equipment solutions, including BFM Fittings, Ishida and Universal-Pack.
