Powerscreen help improve productivity for JPE Aggregates

World Cement,

JPE Aggregates, based in the Midlands, UK, were experiencing wear issues on the 1150 Maxtrax mobile cone crusher in the summer of 2015. It was processing about 150 tph of very abrasive river gravel, and the liners were lasting no more than a week before needing to be changed. This was reducing planned productivity and affecting the financial performance of the site.

Following a visit to the site and a detailed discussion with the customer, it was decided that the site would be an ideal trial site for the newly designed heavy duty core liners. These are based on the popular Medium Coarse chamber configuration and re-engineered and modelled by specialist engineers within the Terex Chamber Design team to improve wear life. The enhanced liners have been uniquely designed by Powerscreen to deliver optimal performance for abrasive applications in accordance with the design parameters of the cone chamber.

Standard 18% Manganese liners were lasting on average 42 hours in this application. We fitted our newly designed 18% HD cone liners and the wear life increased to 62 hours on the same application. This is an improvement of 32% over the standard liners which made a big difference to the customer.
