Barbour ABI has released its latest Economic and Construction Market Review, regarding the state of the UK construction industry in March.
Following a subdued start to the year, the industry picked up the pace in March, with £6.1 billion worth of construction contracts delivered. This positive streak continued as the commercial and retail sector increased its monthly contract value by 25% and infrastructure by 30%. This is an extra £500 million of contract value compared to February.
