Cementos Cosmos welcomes university students

World Cement,

Cementos Cosmos has continued its tradition of collaborating with academia by welcoming groups of students to its plant in Cordoba, Spain. These visits provide students with the opportunity to learn more about the industrial process and the chemistry of cement.

A group of around 50 construction engineering students and professors from the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Bélmez visited the cement plant to complement their studies on the technology of materials. The group toured the plant to see each phase of production, with special focus on the laboratory and control room where they put their knowledge to the test with the support of the plant’s staff.

Students from the Almadén School of Mining and Industrial Engineering at the University of Castilla-La Mancha also visited the plant, where they had the opportunity to pose questions to Cementos Cosmos personnel.
