Cemex Spain achieved a zero accident rate across all of its sites in 2013

World Cement,

Cemex Spain has achieved a new safety milestone – zero accidents across all of its 65 sites in the country in 2013. In addition, many of its plants have achieved impressive safety records. The Buñol plant in Valencia has not had an incident since May 2010 and the Castillejo plant in Toledo has been accident free since June 2010.

Cemex introduced its ‘Zero Accidents’ programme in 2007 and has been holding an annual ‘Health and Safety Week’ for the last 14 years. The company has implemented a number of initiatives to raise awareness of health and safety issues and both internal and external safety audits are regularly carried out across its sites.
