Cementos Cosmos enhances efficiency at its Toral cement plant
In January, Cementos Cosmos announced the completion of a €2 million project at its cement plant in Toral de los Vados, Spain. The kiln was restarted after a two-month shutdown during which a number of measures were taken to enhance efficiency and increase the plant’s competitiveness. As part of the project, the kiln installation was remodelled to lower energy and heat consumption. Other initiatives included improving process control and renovating the plant’s compressed air system.
As a result of continual investments in upgrade projects and technology, the Toral cement facility will celebrate its 90th anniversary this year as a modern and efficient plant.
