Lanzarote: cement sales down m/m and y/y in April 2015

Cement sales in the Canary Islands reached 38 674 t in April 2015, down on March’s total of 43 143 t. However, for the January – April period cement sales improved by 12.2% y/y to 148 939 t.

In Lanzarote, accumulated sales for the first four months of 2015 came in at 16 992 t, up 17.7% y/y. According to ISTAC, sales reached 3781 t in April alone. This is 15.4% lower than sales volumes in Lanzarote in the corresponding month in 2014. The figure also represents a decline on March 2015, dropping by 23.8% m/m from 4959 t.
