Spanish cement consumption falls

Cement consumption in Spain has returned to the red at the end of Q1 with a fall of 0.5%, which places the accumulated 2 565 811 t in total, at about 12 000 less than in the same period last year.

In March, the fall was 7.2%, reaching 928 188 t. 71 795 less than in the same month of 2015.

With the aim of providing solutions to boost economic recovery, increase international competitiveness, promote energy independence and create jobs, Oficemen has recently introduced its CRECIMENTA 20 · 30 Plan, which includes 25 measures that implementation of would, ultimately, increase the gross value of the economy by more than €1400 million annually.
