Titan Egypt sets sights on ready-mix cement
Titan Cement Egypt is looking to further expand into ready-mix cement, where there is potential for extensive growth without too many initial costs. Titan Egypt started ready-mix cement in Alexandria, Egypt, and intends to continue its expansion in Cairo and with a further two plants in 2011.

However, the Egyptian government has announced cuts to energy subsidies for a number of industries, including cement production. Titan hopes that the good sales of ready-mix cement will maintain profits in the face of rising energy costs.
