Hanson Cement has announced that it has made two senior promotions: Mark Hickingbottom has been appointed national commercial director, bulk cement, and Andy Simpson has become national commercial directors, packed.
The new directors will work together to ensure that products and services exceed customer requirements, reflecting Hanson’s aim to always be the first choice by providing excellent service and solutions.
Mark has extensive sales and marketing experiences within Hanson’s bulk cement team, and a BA degree in Business Management. He is an associate member of The Institute of Concrete Technology and in his 12+ years at Hanson has been successful in delivering strategic plans across its product range.
Andy, previously responsible for sales of all Hanson’s packed products, will build on developing strong trading relations with merchant customers as well as working with internal teams to ensure service excellence is delivered at every stage of customers’ interaction with the business. He has over 15 years’ experience with Hanson and holds a First-class degree in Business Studies.
The appointments follow the recent retirement of commercial director Keith Ellis.
Jim Claydon, managing director of Hanson Cement, said: “I look forward to working with Mark and Andy in their new roles and developing new and existing customer relationships to fulfill our aim of becoming the go-to company in this competitive market.”
