A new road safety initiative has been introduced, spearheaded by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and backed by Road Safety GB.
Project Pictogram uses simple diagrams to show drivers how changing bad habits at the wheel can reduce accidents.
Simple icons are stuck on the back of commercial vehicles to serve as a reminder to other road users of the ‘Fatal Factors’ present in most Killed or Serious Injury (KSI) collisions. These include speed, using a mobile phone, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, not wearing a seatbelt and not keeping to safe stopping distances.
