Cement consumption in Spain has ended February with growth of 8.4%, reaching 891 297 t. This figure is 69 076 more than in the same month last year. The cumulative consumption of the first two months of the year amounted to 1 638 713 t, representing an increase of 3.9% over the same period of 2015.
"This data is consistent with the provisions of Oficemen 2016, where for this year we expect growth of around 7% although with fluctuations over the months. Still, we remain at low levels of consumption, we must continue to offer alternatives that strengthen our industry”, says the CEO of Oficemen, Aniceto Zaragoza.
In this regard, the cement sector advocates sustainable solutions that also allow recovery.
