World Cement,

Cemex expects to supply around 9800 m3 of ready-mixed concrete for the reconstruction of Mezaparks Grand Open-Air Stage, an iconic venue in Latvia that hosts a wide variety of cultural and sporting events each year.

The reconstruction of Mezaparks Grand Open-Air stage is the work of Latvian architectural firms J.Pogas birojs and Mailitis A.I.I.M., which together envisioned the expansion of this emblematic building, first opened to the public in 1955.

The venue’s reconstruction, which expands the total area of the complex from ~91 000 m2 to 146 400 m2, is expected to be fully completed by 2021. The second phase of the project, the construction of a new stage, will begin after the grand celebration of Latvia’s Centenary.

Cemex has already supplied approximately 9650 m3 of ready-mix concrete, used mainly for the construction of foundations, grids, walls, and a new ceiling for this complex.
