World Cement,
Holcim (Deutschland)'s Beckum cement plant has commissioned a new Caterpillar 6030 FS hydraulic excavator to extract limestone for us in the cement-making process. The new excavator is 15 m long, 7.5 m high, and has 1500 hp, providing a mining capacity of 470 tph of raw material.
We are excited about the commissioning of this state-of-the-art equipment that sets new standards in performance, noise suppression, health and energy efficiency, and best meets our needs." said Helmut Reiterer, Beckum Plant Manager. "There is always a lot of teamwork in such a demanding procurement project with extensive cost-effectiveness calculation. The excavator should now work reliably for at least ten years, thereby securing the long-term supply of raw materials for our cement plant."
Three employees were trained in the operation of the new excavator, which replaces an older device. There was also special training for Holcim's maintenance staff. An extensive service package further secures the operability.
