The Rohrdorf cement plant is donating €7500 to clubs in Rohrdorf. The symbolic checks were presented to the fire department, the Bavarian Red Cross and the Rohrdorf social welfare organisation.

The donation is being made on the occasion of the open day at the Rohrdorf cement plant, where around €6000 were raised in October through the sale of food and drinks. The amount was rounded up by Rohrdorfer and now given to the clubs in equal parts.

The open day was a complete success for the Rohrdorf cement plant. Around 3600 visitors, 600 more than in 2022, had employees explain to them the measures the cement plant has already taken to significantly reduce CO2 emissions and aims to reduce them to zero by 2038. At the end of their tour, many guests took advantage of the opportunity to sit down in the marquee for a hearty snack with brass music from the Rohrdorf music band. Quite a few were surprised by the prices - one euro per drink or meal. Many guests rounded up when they learned that Rohrdorfer would donate all proceeds in equal parts to the BRK, the fire department and the Rohrdorf social welfare organisation.

Last Monday, Kai Junghänel, the commercial director of the Rohrdorf Group, and Günther Wunsam, the commercial director of the cement division, presented the symbolic checks. The representatives of the three associations, Alfred Fischbacher (Rohrdorf Fire Department), Maximilian Unterlinner (BRK Rohrdorf) and Gudrun Lohmann (Sozialwerk Rohrdorf) were delighted to receive a donation of €2500 each.
