World Cement,
Caterpillar has been included as part of the 2016 Dow Jones Sustainability Index, including both the World and North American indices. This marks the 17th time that Caterpillar has been included, with the company leading in the Capital Goods sector and the areas of innovation management, risk and crisis management, labour practices and human rights, and corporate citizenship and philanthropy.
Inclusion signifies Caterpillar’s sustainability performance is in the top 10% of the industry, with performance expectations increasing annually.
“Caterpillar continues to seize opportunities to make our products and operations more sustainable and efficient,” said Doug Oberhelman, Caterpillar Chairman and CEO. “We remain committed to sustainability because we want to help build a better world, and because we know it is essential for profitability in our operations and our customers’.”
