New cement plant for Uzbekistan

Trend News Agency is reporting that Turkey’s Dal Engineering Group will commission a new 1.5 million t cement plant in Uzbekistan by late 2017.
Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) has reportedly signed an MoU with a Turkish company for a project with an estimated cost of US$225 million. A US$90 million loan will be provided by the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan, while other loans totalling US$110 million are also being provided. The remainder of the funding will be from AMMC equity.
AMMC already has a cement plant in the Kizzakh region of Uzbekistan, also contracted to Dal Teknik Makina Ticaret. The plant produces 350 000 tpy of white cement and 760 000 tpy of Portland cement. The total installed cement production capacity in Uzbekistan is more than 7 million t, spread across six cement plants.
