Eurocement’s Voronezh plant receives EcoMaterial certification

Eurocement’s Voronezh plant has received the EcoMaterial 1.3 Certificate of Compliance for eco-friendly building materials. The certificate was awarded following an environmental impact assessment carried out by the EcoStandard Group, the first organisation in the Russian Federation accredited by the international community on Green Construction US Green Building.
From the environmental audit, experts concluded that Portland cement types 42.5H (fast setting), 42.5 (normal) and 52.5 (normal), and Portland cement type 42.5 with slag from 6 – 20%, corresponded to the Russian standard GOST 31108-2003 and were found to comply with EcoMaterial 1.3 (recommended for use in areas of category A: houses, kindergartens, children’s homes, medical institutions, closed sports facilities, office spaces, industrial plants and other areas of categories B and C).
