World Cement,
Lipetskcement, part of the Eurocement Group, participated in the environmental cleanup campaign Green Russia, which was held in all regions of the Russian Federation on 29 – 30 August 2014. Many businesses and community organisations in the city of Lipetsk joined the campaign. As part of Green Russia 2014, Lipetskcement personnel cleared debris in the cleaning zone, which included the dry grass and forest areas surrounding the plant.
Furthermore, Lipetskcement, along with all 16 companies in the Eurocement Group, takes part in the "We live and work here" campaign each spring. The environmental initiative advocates the conservation and rational use of natural resources, as well as the education of young people. The eco-educational work involves instilling the principles of environmentally responsible behaviour and taking care of green areas surrounding the plants (planting trees, caring for green spaces, organising the collection of waste, etc.).
