Cemex Poland’s Sustainability Report has been awarded First Prize in the Social Reports Competition, organized by the Responsible Business Forum and Deloitte. Cemex Poland also received the Award from Poland’s Minister of Development and Finance, as well as the Journalists’ First Honorable Mention. Juan Carlos Herrera, President of Cemex Poland, accepted the awards during a ceremony at the conference center of the Polish Press Agency.
Cemex Poland’s Sustainability Report was selected from a field of over 40 sustainability publications thanks to its comprehensive approach, transparency, concision, and clarity on information concerning Cemex commitments and progress.
“We receive the award on behalf of the many people and communities whose day-to-day engagement fill and give the report its final shape. We particularly dedicate it to our stakeholders—thanks to their support and cooperation we can pursue the principles of sustainable development more efficiently and more effectively,” said Izabella Rokicka, Director of Communications and Public Affairs, Cemex Europe and Poland. “This award recognises these joint efforts. It also offers additional motivation to further improve the social responsibility area and communicate the results of our actions.”
