Hanson’s entire fleet of company-owned vehicles has achieved the highest standard in the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS). The FORS gold award has previously been held only by the company’s cement division. It is a voluntary certification aimed at ensuring operators work lawfully and to best practice.
Hanson UK’s 352 vehicles and 11 operating centres performed to the highest standard in the assessment, which covers management, vehicles, drivers and operations.
The gold award is in line with Hanson’s 2020 sustainability targets and follows significant investment in its fleet over the last few years.
“The FORS gold award demonstrates that we continue to place safety and compliance at the core of our business values,” said distribution manager Ray Govier.
“The fact that we have gained this top recognition across all our vehicles is testament to the commitment of our team and our long standing commitment to health and safety.”
